Ah, Adventure was one of my favourite games back in the day, although most of my happiest memories came from playing on my Spectrum.

Check out this screenshot and you'll see how I chose my avatar:

There I am at the top right, carrying my sword, so unbelievably realistic! Those were the days!

Mate I forgot to ask, did you pre-order your PS3 and have you actually picked the big brute up yet? I thought you'd be playing on it by now, surely you haven't got time to be making comments?

What games did you decide to buy?

And what the HELL happened to all your speech bubbles? Last time I looked you were on 7 weren't you?

UPDATE: When I wrote this comment you w...

Unfortunately for some people there is no way back once they choose a side. Just like a football (or any other sport) team, for many people once you're a fan, you're a fan for life.

Which is why the same, illogical, football hooliganism you see at the grounds mirror the same, illogical console hooliganism on game sites.

It's only a game kids, I thought it was the taking part that mattered?

It's the gameplay that really matters and when the 360 and PS3 versions of the game look so similar - who cares?!

Yeah, Jkbonafide I also bought games like Doom 3 and Half Life 2 for the Xbox cos I didn't want to waste money upgrading my PC (only for it to be out of date months later). Pity that Microsoft abandoned the console so quickly considering it was powerful enough to play Doom 3 - DOOM 3 for godsake, on a last generation console! Amazing.

How many people do you see walking out by themselves at midnight holding £425 in their hands? That's exactly the same thing with holding a PS3.

And what is Toys 'R Us doing open that late? Wow, kids really stay up late nowadays!

"...the PS3 is well worth its hefty price tag."

That quote sums it all up, MSN remained unbiased in their PS3 review. That's got to hurt all those fan boys out there, but make the rest of us feel, well, rather good! If MSN can be unbiased then hopefully more of us can be as well!

Now we just need a Sony website to review the 360 ...

I couldn't have said it better myself mate! Although rather than forcing contributors to approve EVERY story there should instead be a daily minimum requirement otherwise you start losing points.

Also, to force less popular stories to be approved/reported quicker, you shouldn't be able to choose which stories to approve. Instead you should be given a random list of stories that you're allowed to approve or report on. And how about keeping the contributor's name anonymous until ...

Microsoft never made HD-DVD part of the 360's standard spec because they wanted to keep their options open. Well, now that it looks like Blu-Ray is outselling it and may become the dominant format, Microsoft can simply offer a BluRay add on in the future.

Simple right? Not if you're a fanboy:

1. If Microsoft DO release a BluRay drive, SONY fans will laugh at them and say they were right all along and that the 360 will end up being a failure.

2. If ...

I agree with you on this one mate; the black 360 just doesn't look good.

Why couldn't they have made it silver and shiny rather than dull and black so that it could blend in nicely with modern AV equipment?

At least the black PS3 actually looks shiny and expensive. Damn, looks like I'll have to use the car wax yet again if I ever decide to upgrade ...

Can't wait. It'd be good to have some more developers on this site!

Cheers.

Just like a movie studio, it's fascinating to see how many people are involved in the making of a game. A lot of people don't read the credits in a game (but then in all fairness who does for a film?) so a lot of hard working people don't get the full recognition they might well derserve.

Sodslawgy, I wasn't criticising that poor stories are approved, just that they end up on the front page and this is happening because of the 30 degrees threshold. The front page should be for only the most popular stories.

I've submitted many a story where the temperature has jumped to 30 degrees after a couple of people have made comments. Yet a week later the temperature hasn't gone much higher and I'd be the first to admit that the story shouldn't have made the front page so...

When I see an XNA article on this site most of the time it hardly gets any comments or interest even though personally I think initiatives like it are extremely important for the future of the games industry.

As a fairly experienced C++, C# and Direct3D programmer I found it pretty easy to get into. It would be nice to know if there's any other N4G readers out there who are using it and what they think of it.

Speak up lads!

It'd be great if it tur...

Aaargh! I've been waiting too long for this game, hopefully they'll release it on the consoles.

Things definitely have to change, and change soon. It seems to me that NewsBot is the source for most articles being approved - a lot of articles get zero or one approvals and have a very low temperature and yet NewsBot will still come along and give it the full five votes!

We need, proven, unbiased contributors to be promoted to Editors so that they can quickly approve worthwhile stories.

Also, stories shouldn't make the front page unless they've got at least 50...

Anyone who says it advantageous to have three strong brands in the market and how it's a good time to be a gamer is obviously an unbiased gamer and deserves some positive feedback, which is what I've rightly given you.

Although, with eight bubbles already, is it even possible to go any higher! Speaking of which does anyone know if its possible to get down to ZERO bubbles?

I'm curious as your comment has been deleted by a moderator. I missed it, what did you say? Without directly saying it again of course!

Although I think Vista is cool, namely the new Aero Glass interface and Search integration, I think it's fairly obvious that Microsoft could have put DirectX 10 on Windows XP.

It's just a ploy to get us to upgrade, because let's face it, it's not exactly a major must have upgrade like Windows 3.1 to Windows 95 was and so they're using this to entice us.

The Amiga 500 was the best computer I ever had. You could play games on it and also do "work" to appease your parents.

Now if someone could just remake Chuck Rock, Superfrog, Zool and Turrican II everything'll be sweet!
